Massaging the treated area helps evenly distribute the Sculptra solution, ensuring more stable and effective results. Additionally, using an ice pack or cooling stick during massage not only reduces pain but also speeds up recovery.
Before injection, Sculptra undergoes a “hydration” process where it is mixed with a medically approved saline solution for stability. As a result, temporary swelling may occur immediately after the procedure due to the solution volume, but it gradually subsides within a few hours. Collagen regeneration and skin restoration effects typically begin to appear 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure.
Sculptra has been used as a wrinkle treatment in Europe since 1999 and is now available in over 46 countries worldwide. It has been approved by the FDA for aesthetic use. The injected PLLA gradually dissolves over 25 months while maintaining its effects, and it completely disappears after 30 months, reducing the risk of foreign body-related side effects.
Juvelook stimulates natural collagen production after the PDLLA component dissolves, creating gradual volume enhancement. Depending on the individual, results typically become noticeable around 4 to 6 weeks after treatment.
It is recommended to massage the treated area within 5 minutes of the procedure to help evenly distribute the injected Juvelook solution for more stable results. Additionally, using an ice pack or cooling stick during massage can reduce discomfort and promote faster recovery.
While most skin boosters require three sessions at 2-3 week intervals and last for about 3-6 months, Juvelook generally lasts 6-12 months after three sessions at 4-week intervals. Juvelook Volume effects can last from 1.5 to 2 years.
